The banned Michael Jordan Nike shoes (uniform violation!) from early in his playing career is the basis for this work. It presents the tension of using one of the most valuable, collectable Air Jordan shoe styles as the symbol of the well known drug spot signal. Beyond the cultural commentary, the presentation of the concept is unique, with both shoes being oversized (each show is 18-inches long) as well as being painted in a realistic style on 1/2-inch plywood.
